Are Elon Musk And Trump Plotting To Takeover Washington?

Elon Musk and Former President Donald Trump are in talks to make a powerful duo in Washington. Rumor has it that Musk and Trump have been discussing Musk taking on an advisory role if Trump clinches the presidency again this November, is this really possible?

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump has discussed giving Musk an advisory role in policy areas including immigration and the economy, topics Musk has discussed in his posts on X/Twitter.

The relationship between Trump and Musk has been rocky for years. Musk famously quit two White House advisory councils in 2017 after Trump yanked the U.S. out of the Paris climate accord. But it seems they’ve patched things up recently. The WSJ reports that the two now chat regularly on the phone, covering topics from immigration to the U.S. Space Force.

Trump even met with Musk in March, seeking campaign funds. While Musk, the Tesla titan, seems more interested in influencing policy than cutting checks, his support could be a game-changer.

Musk has publicly spoken against the Biden administration, especially over its border policies. Musk has even accused Biden of “ushering in vast numbers of illegals” to have them vote for Democrats.

However, Musk has never endorsed Donald Trump for presidency, but this could change.

Recently, X/twitter,  Musk’s social media platform, announced a partnership with the TV network NewsNation to host a series of town hall events with Trump and independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

So far, there are no further details about the town hall events or Musk’s role as Trump’s advisor. Could we soon see the SpaceX mogul shaping national policy from the West Wing? Only time will tell.
