Texas Agriculture Commissioner Gets ‘Boratted’

It’s called getting “Boratted,” and Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller seems to have taken it in stride. Miller confirmed Thursday that he was an unwitting participant in humorist Sasha Baron Cohen’s new movie, “Borat 2,” which will be available online starting Oct. 23. Miller is featured in the trailer for the movie on YouTube.

“Yep, it’s official, I got Boratted,” said Miller in a statement released Thursday. “Hey, I’m in good company with Vice President Mike Pence, former Vice President Dick Cheney, Rudy Guilliani, Bernie Sanders, Trent lott, Alan Keyes and other national political leaders — all of whom have been duped into a fake interview by Cohen in one of his disguises.”

Miller said that while he doesn’t support Cohen’s political attacks on conservatives, he believes there is a place for humor in public discourse. He set up the interview himself as a legitimate interview, but realized it wasn’t real when he saw Borat in character. He decided to go along with the joke and describe it as the strangest interview he’s ever had.
