X/Twitter Tops App Store With Drake’s Leaked Nude Video

X/Twitter was the most downloaded app in Apple’s App Store on Wednesday as a leaked Drake nude video went viral on the platform. This is the second time this year that X has benefited from a scandal involving a nude celebrity image.

The video allegedly features Drake naked and engaging in a sexual act. According to The Verge, the video went viral on Wednesday with the hashtag “drakevideo”.

This comes less than two weeks after users spread sexually explicit AI-generated images of Taylor Swift on the platform. X/Twitter had to block all searches for the artist’s name while fans flooded the platforms with tweets about Taylor to overwhelm searches for the AI-generated images.

Still, X/Twitter seems to be benefiting from the scandals, as it was the most downloaded app in the App Store the same day the Drake video went viral.

Musk was very proud of this, as he wrote: “If I had a dollar for every time the media reported that one of my companies was going to die, I would never need to raise money!”

The company has said that it has a “zero tolerance policy” for the sharing of non-consensual nude images, and that it is monitoring the situation to remove offending posts.

Still, The Verge’s team was able to find the posts with the video, which has millions of views, still on the platform.
