Texas Is The Most Haunted State In The US

You don’t have to travel to other states in search of paranormal activities, because Texas has ranked as the most haunted state in the U.S., thanks to a combination of haunted places, ghost sightings and paranormal investigations, according to a report by Bonus Finder.

According to the study, Texas is the second state with the most cemeteries, with a count of over 13,000. But where the Lone Star really exceeds is in its enormous count of 7,517 reported ghost sightings per 100,000 people! That means that in a room with 25 people, 2 will surely have some scary ghost stories to tell.

Texas ranks the highest in its number of haunted locations per 100,000 people. There are 925 haunted locations in all the state. The study cites the Alamo as one of the most significant haunted places in Texas, where visitors and personnel have reported sightings of soldier apparitions and distant cries echoing in the walls.

Other haunted places that you can visit in Texas is the Ghost Town in Terlingua near Big Bend National Park, abandoned near the end of World War II; The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Centre in El Paso, where people have reported orbs, lights, shadows and different supernatural manifestations; or the Bragg Road in Saratoga, East Texas, where people have reported sightings of the Ghost Road Light, related to mysterious deaths and murders.
